Clare and Duane booked us for a elopement wedding at the Jasper Park Lodge. It was a Monday and the ceremony was to start 7pm which makes a real crunch for available light. The weather forecast went from sunny to light rain but what we got was gale force winds which forced over to the protected dried out river bed located north of the lodge. What couldn't of gone wrong? We arrived at 3pm the photography for the outdoor formals were to begin at 5pm.
We were finished our scout for alternative locations due to the weather by 4:45 pm. But the hair, makeup, and clothing were still being sorted out at half past 6 pm. Strap for time and expecting the wedding commissioner little work with the formals could be attempted as the time budget was spent. 7 pm arrives and there is a missing commissioner, the Cloud darkens as we find out the commissioner has forgotten the date but lives close by and the ceremony will start for 7:30 pm. After the ceremony in a quaint honeymoon suite we venture out finally for the formals as the 8pm hour is at hand. With only 30 minutes of available day light we capture all the needed images with only one lens change.
Please when you view these images keep in mind they booked us for 50 proofs and for two and a half hours. We have supplied over 70 proofs here for their wedding website after leaving the happy couple at 9:30 pm. Please also remember that all the images are of the highest quality Jpeg to be printed anywhere in the world. They are not for Web Browsers and the colour quality is distorted by Fire Fox and Internet Explorer. We strongly suggest if you are wanting to observe the images for colour quality save the image to you computer and view with a quality application. Our next wedding in Banff is for April 27th 2007. We will be posting that wedding here as well so you can check back to view how our shooting styles differ from one engagement to the next with the subject matter, liberty, and the restriction with the natural elements at play. We only post our most recent wedding website for the time durations between bookings so each site is listed here so couples can direct their guest easily until the site becomes private - about a week to 10 days.
