Lake Louise is fed from glacial runoff from primarily Mount Victoria and neighboring peaks. These mountains covered with ice is partly what makes the setting so romantic for the use of wedding backdrops in Banff National Park. Once the glaciers are gone the sparkle that makes the Canadian Rockies so majestic will no longer appear in photographs. Until that day arrives weddings at Lake Louise will remain romantic year round.
