Marie and Stu flew over from England to enjoy great Western Canadian Hospitality at Juniper Hotel on their Wedding day! The Juniper Lodge is a Venue I will photograph anywhere from 3 to 6 times a year however the locations around the Juniper I can photograph 50 to 100 times a year.

Holding the Camera at least 1/3 of the days of the year in the Canadian Rockies has been the climate of my life for pretty much the last 20 years. However in the last 3 years, every month my work has progress in the over all variation of amount of styles that I will be commissioned to practice with the craft. This is the digital photography revolution and what is possible from one image to next is pretty much endless. Having a illustration background really helps the transition from being a traditional film photographer to being a digital image creator.

Photographs now have the feeling of actual paintings and this is becoming a constant in the market place. Experimental Photography is being now considered a open option with many current professional photographers. Digital weddings even have the option of 3D Virtual Photographs.

Here at Adventures in Photography Ltd., outdoor portraiture has always been about the mountains as well as the clients who enjoy the majesty that is found in the Canadian Rockies. One of our very popular photographic styles is the 3D Virtual feeling our photographic style processes. We truly work to create images our clients feel they can virtually jump into -eyes first of course.

In this slide show of 70 odd images we produced in about a hour with Marie and Stu. The production of the slide show is to show how many different ways we can custom edit our clients images working in only one of four professional editors that we work daily with. Marie and Stu received 2 different sets of edits as I saw 2 entirely different ways to edit most of their Formals images. In about 8 - 9 hours I captured about 1200 exposures my clients normally see 40 to 50% images in their Online down-loadable .zip files.

Early this week I learned that the star of one of my childhood favorite television shows killed herself! I did not even know that a Dolphin was so self a ware that they had this ability to perform such an action to take his or her own life by suffocation.

Each year Japan slaughters in the number of 23,000 Dolphins that are sold for human consumption. This is an injustice to the Dolphins that are known to be one of the most intelligent creatures roaming the planet with more  active grace than mankind. This  is  an injustice as well to the greater Japanese public because these creatures are laced with high levels of Mercury poisoning. In my level of consciousness this is a direct crime by the Japanese government to authorize the sale of food which is considered to be more toxic than the Oceans these water bound mammals actually reside in.

In September 2010 the slaughter of these precious mammals is to resume if we do not act now. From January 15th 2010 to September 1st 2010. We are having our first Archival Print Marathon for these globally adored mammals! Through the sales of our Archival Prints with a unique OPS watermark with the "Photos for Flipper 2010" marathon logo. We will be presenting Fine Art Archival Prints portraying the Water Element in each image we produce. Everyday we will post at least one new image for the 2010 collection of images celebrating the gift of water that makes all life on Earth possible.

Each week we will report the number of prints sold for "Photo of Flipper!" This number will be reported to the Governments of the World  to show how important all life is in the Eco Systems of the world and how dependent we are on the questionable quality of water on this very blue planet. 100% of the net profits of the daily sales are donated to the Oceanic Preservation Society. The United Nations has clearly noted at our current consumption the oceans of the world will be empty of life in less than 40 years with mankind's current fishing activity.

2009 was a year of transition here at Adventures in Photography Ltd. We have dealt with a necessary move of studio. We are still settling into a new print supplier for our clients. We are rebuilding our web presentation do to untimely need of simply more space online for our clients. With only half of the 1st month of 2010 behind us our new organization is already gaining ground on our 2009 start. We have a very exciting year already lined up for 2010 and every day our inquires are showing us that 2010 can be another record breaking year with our new delivery platform.

I am getting use this blogging thing however the client feed back lets me know they love our new daily slide shows... Thank God building the slide shows is an automated process. We are also polishing our use of our new editing platform and our photos are looking cleaner with every new post! I went to school to be a illustrator and a water colour artist so this new program is really allowing me to experiment and create some really unique and moody images with lots of feeling!

Here is my new show of Lindsay and Ryan! Even though we did not have much time for as many locations that I normally like to have for their photography sessions with their schedule we had a lovely Autumn afternoon on the Vermillion Lakes in Banff!

We were on location for about 30 minutes at this one location - they received about 80 odd images from this part of the day. Here is my quick pick of 28!

Warmest of Regards,

Johnny
