Slow Food's Terra Madre Day with Haute to Go!
After university I got to intern for the late great Rudy Garcia. A lot of my class mates did not think to much of me receiving the privileged to under study for such an amazing product and food illustrator but little did they know of the other types of genres Rudy did command in illustration. Through his 45 year career he had created illustrations for every major corporation in the world. The original Jello product illustrations, the original Jolly Green Giant art. His early works were so inspiring however what really inspired me was to see the level of growth his art had transcended over his life time career. The individual to this day is the greatest artist I have ever worked with and most of my goals with my career have his words of encouragement ringing inside furthering my soul. Working with Megan's Haute to Go team is a breath of fresh air just like Rudy's encouragement was the breath of life my career needed from his life long career presented in full circle before my infancy. Here at Megan's operation we are all interested in healthier dietary concerns and incorporating them in the destination theme of our business. When our clients fly here more than likely they will have to adjust to the change of climate and altitude with many of our clients flying up to us from sea level. This change of environment directly impacts the immune system but don't you worry Megan has all the right ideas for ultra yummy dietary upgrades to fortify your health while you make the transition and enjoy your health during an amazing event in the middle of Canada's Wildest of Lands on the Continental Great divide.
Our most recent festivities were for the third annual International Slow food Terra Madre day. We put together some great Vegan dishes focusing as much energy as possible on locally grown nutrient rich organic foods that our guest absolutely adored!
Not only did I get to enjoy the yummy food but I also was rewarded with the privileged to create the festival's art!
